PARIS (June 6, 2016) – Gazeley, a leading global investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks, has been awarded the LEED® Gold certification for its state-of-the-art 23,500 SQ M (252,952 SF) chilled and frozen logistics centre developed for Carrefour, one of the largest multi-national retail companies in the world, built near Madrid, Spain.
Completed in October 2015, this distribution centre, strategically located on the Casablanca Industrial Estate in Torrejón de Ardoz is one of the largest logistics units in Europe dedicated to the distribution of chilled and frozen products.
This is Gazeley’s second project to have obtained this certification in one year. The first being a 35,000 SQ M (376,737 SF) regional distribution center developed for leading global beauty and cosmetics retailer L’Oréal in Italy.
