Frankfurt, 30 January 2018 – Gazeley, a leading investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks, announces that it has completed the development of 130,000 sq ft facility in Mannheim, Germany.
The warehouse has been developed for one of the world’s largest e-commerce companies. The customer will be using the space as a ‘last mile’ distribution centre catering to the growing e-commerce requirements of consumers.
The build-to-suit warehouse was completed in December and is situated in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. The area is a key intersection of European transport routes and one of the most sought-after locations for logistics and distribution.
The building has also been awarded a DGNB certificate for sustainability, which is an international award that demonstrates an outstanding commitment to meeting sustainability objectives.
Ingo Steves, Managing Director, Northern Europe of Gazeley, said: “Effective and efficient last mile distribution space is essential to a modern supply chain. This building provides excellent transport links to key cities and will support the business and its exceptional growth. The fact that they are an existing customer is a testament to the quality of the assets that we provide and customers confidence in our ability to deliver first-class space.”
