Gazeley leases 43,000 SQ M (462,848 SF) logistics warehouse to Whirlpool at Magna Park Monticelli, Piacenza, Italy

MAGNA PARK MONTICELLI IS A KEY STRATEGIC LOCATION ALLOWING EASY DISTRIBUTION THROUGHOUT NORTH ITALY
MILAN (July 8, 2015) – Gazeley (Brookfield Logistics Properties), a leading global investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks, has today announced that Whirlpool, a leading global manufacturer of home appliances, has signed a long-term lease to occupy a 43,000 SQ M (462,848 SF) logistics warehouse situated at Magna Park Monticelli at Piacenza, North Italy.
The building will be operated by Scerni Logistics, an established provider of Third Party Logistics (3PL) Services who also occupy the remaining 14,105 SQ M (151,824 SF) space within the overall warehouse facility.
Speaking about the announcement, Gazeley Senior Development Director Italy Benjamin Khafi Grynfas said: “We are delighted to welcome Whirlpool to our Magna Park Monticelli development. This outstanding strategic location, exceptional quality and customer service were all key factors in in Whirlpool’s decision to locate in Monticelli.”

Directly connected to highways A1 and A21, Magna Park Monticelli offers customers easy access to the Greater Milan area and conurbation. The park can accommodate up to 144,500 SQ M(1,555,385 SF) of high quality, built-to-suit logistics warehouse space.
In addition to Whirlpool and Scerni Logistics, it is home to the logistics operations of Italia Logistica, one of the largest Third Party Logistics (3PL) providers in Italy, which manages the logistics activities for Enel, a leading multinational producer and distributor of electricity and gas.
The site forms part of a broader network of Magna Park distribution centres that Gazeley is developing in North Italy linking with two other Magna Parks already in operation and established in Villanterio (Pavia) and San Bellino (Rovigo).
